I chose the word relationship for this title because the chi of feng shui is all around me. It is the life force that gives vitality to your house, your body, the earth and everything living upon it. Feng shui is really all about CHI.

In my house, I see chi everywhere. I picture the movement of chi as a low lying green fog that enters though the front door, also called the "mouth of chi." The chi which brings life and vitality should swirl effortlessly throughout your living quarters. If you have blockages, clutter or missing areas in your floor plan, then chi cannot move into that area. Consequently, your life situation is blocked in the area that corresponds to the clutter or the missing area. Clear the clutter with the intention of improving your life. VOILA! Where intention goes, energy flows. Chi has that power!

The earth also has its own specific chi, called ley lines. The ancients of Stonehenge and Egyptian or Mayan pyramids knew there were certain energies of chi circulating in these special places on earth. Huge monoliths were erected on these sites of unbelievable power. Cosmic chi is also prevalent in areas of waterfalls, and pine tree forests.

Chi also circulates in our bodies along meridians, or acupuncture lines. There are detailed body maps, showing chi lines/meridians, hanging in the offices of acupuncturists. If chi is not moving in a particular area of your body, an acupuncture needle, properly placed, can unblock the chi. When chi is circulating easily throughout your body, it brings vitality, and well-being back to the body.
